One of the most popular and oldest sports of the Olympics, Gymnastics has been a part of “the games” since ancient times. The sport traces its origins to Greece where athletes received physical training in a special arena, in addition to many other disciplines including the arts, philosophy and literature. “Gymnos,” the Greek word for naked, is the origin for the word gymnastics.
GSP has recently stated that he incorporates Gymnastics in his strength/conditioning program. I couldn't agree more! Too afraid still to try it? My suggestion is doing CrossFit.
